Ghana
I was born in a small village in Central Ghana in 2004. From then until 2009 I spent much of my early life under the care of my grandmother, the late Rose Nyarkoa, in Accra. Because I left Ghana at such a young age, the difference between memory and imagination is often blurred, however, I only have positive emotions associated with my early life in Ghana.
America
In 2009, I left Ghana for America and first ended up in Las Vegas. I spent a few years there, and later on moved to Ohio. My family would finally settle in Tennessee in 2013. In 2020 we would go through a tornado, an event which would change my life and perspective in ways I still cannot fully comprehend. Currently, I’m in Pennsylvania, studying Economics and Computer Science at Swarthmore College.
